Who we are
This website, kfginternational.com, is published by KFG International LLC, a company registered in the United States. KFG International LLC is the controller of the personal data described in this notice. You can reach us about anything in it at support@kfginternational.com.
What this notice covers
It covers two groups of people: visitors to this website, and people whose public hackathon projects appear in our 8K fresh AI business ideas archive. If you are in the second group you may never have visited this site, so the section on the archive is written for you.
The hackathon archive
The archive is a set of pages, one per project, covering the projects submitted to a public hackathon. Each page shows the project name, its one-line tagline, the names of the team members as the team listed them, the project's own write-up (the description the author published on the project page), the technologies the team listed as having built with, the public project thumbnail, the like and comment counts at the time of capture, and a link to the original project page on Devpost. All of this was taken from the public gallery and from each project's own public page on Devpost in August 2026. We did not collect anything from behind a login and we did not contact anyone to obtain it.
For speed, and so that the pages do not depend on another company's servers, we serve a copy of most project thumbnails — about 6,347 of them — from our own content delivery network at cdn.kfginternational.com. The listing, category and search pages additionally show thumbnails served by Devpost's own network. If you ask us to remove your project, our copy of its thumbnail is deleted along with the page.
Each page also carries an analysis of the project: an executive summary and a business model canvas. That analysis is generated by a language model. The model was given the project name, the tagline, the author's own write-up, the technologies they listed, the team size, the names the team published, and the link to the project page. The analysis is an opinion about the project as a business idea. It is not an assessment of any person, and nothing in it should be read as a statement about the abilities, character or circumstances of the people named on the page.
We do not publish contact details, and we do not combine the archive data with any other source, look people up elsewhere, build profiles, or use the data to make decisions about anyone. The archive is an independent publication. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Devpost or OpenAI.
Lawful basis
Where the GDPR or a similar law applies, we rely on our legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f): the interest in reporting on and organising publicly presented projects, with attribution to their authors and a link back to the source. We think this interest outweighs the impact on the people named because the archive shows only information the authors chose to publish on a public gallery, it contains no sensitive data, every page links prominently to the original source, and anyone named can object by sending a single email, which we act on quickly.
Your rights
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it erased, to object to our processing of it (Article 21 GDPR), and to ask us to restrict processing while a request is being handled. To exercise any of these, email support@kfginternational.com and include the URL of the page you are writing about. Every archive page has a "Request removal or a correction" link that opens an email with the project name already filled in.
A request from a project author to remove or correct their page is acted on within 48 hours, and in any case within seven days. Where the GDPR applies, we will in any event answer you within one month, the statutory maximum; we do not treat that month as a target. When a page is removed, it is removed from every language version of the site and from the sitemaps, and our copy of its thumbnail is deleted from our content delivery network. We do not ask you to explain why. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in the country where you live.
Copyright and takedown
Each archive page shows the project's own thumbnail, and for most projects we serve a copy of that image from our own content delivery network, as described above. If you hold the rights to an image, a description or anything else in the archive and you want it taken down, write to support@kfginternational.com with the link to the page and enough detail to identify the work. That address is monitored for copyright notices. We act on a notice within 48 hours, and in any case within seven days, and removal deletes our copy of the image as well as the page.
If you believe material was removed in error, you can send a counter-notice to the same address. We do not host user accounts or user uploads, but where anyone repeatedly infringes the rights of others we will stop publishing their material.
The contact form and reCAPTCHA
If you use the contact form, we receive the fields you enter. Submissions are sent to our sales inbox (sales@kfginternational.com) as an email through Amazon Web Services (AWS) — a different inbox from the one that handles removal, correction and copyright requests. We keep them for as long as we need them to answer you and then delete them from the inbox at our discretion.
The form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise, which loads only once you start filling in the form. It is the one third-party script that waits for you to act; the analytics and advertising tags described below load straight away. To tell people from bots, Google processes your IP address and information about your browser and interaction with the page. How Google handles that data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
Hosting, analytics and cookies
The site is served by AWS (Amplify Hosting, delivered through CloudFront). AWS may keep standard access logs, containing your IP address, user agent and the URL requested, for security and operational purposes.
Every page on this site also loads measurement and advertising tags: Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, the Meta (Facebook) pixel and the LinkedIn Insight Tag. Google Tag Manager decides what else runs, and it can load more of these without any change to the site. It currently also holds a tag for a business lead-generation service, Albacross. They all load as soon as the page opens, before you do anything on it, and they run on the archive pages too.
These tags set their own cookies and read them on later visits. Through them, Google, Meta, LinkedIn and Albacross receive your IP address, information about your device and browser, the pages you view here, how long you stay, and the page or search that sent you. Meta and LinkedIn are advertising tools: if you have an account with either company, they may link this visit to it, and we may use that to show ads to people who have been here. Google Analytics here is also set up to report to Google's advertising side — every page sends a request to doubleclick.net — which Google can use to build advertising audiences. Albacross works differently: it looks your IP address up in its own database to guess which company you are visiting from, and reports that guess to us. Google Analytics gives us aggregate reports only, and none of these tools tells us your name or your contact details.
How each company uses what it collects is described in its own policy: Google, Meta, LinkedIn and Albacross.
We do not show a cookie banner, so nothing on this site asks for your permission before these tags run or lets you switch them off here. If you do not want them, you can refuse them in your browser: block third-party cookies, turn on the browser's tracking protection, or install a tracker-blocking extension. Any of these stops the tags loading or stops them recognising you, and the site works normally without them. You can also email us at support@kfginternational.com to object to this processing.
- We set one cookie of our own,
kfg_lang. It records the language you pick in the language switcher, lasts a year, and is written only when you make that choice or arrive with a language in the address. It is read for one purpose: to open the site in the language you chose. - If your browser asks for a language we publish, the site sends you to that version once and sets a flag in your browser's session storage so it does not do it again. The flag is dropped when you close the tab.
- Neither of those two is used to identify you, and neither is shared with anyone. The cookies and identifiers set by the tags above are a separate matter: they belong to Google, Meta, LinkedIn and Albacross, and those companies read them.

We will update this page when our practices change and will change the date at the top when we do. The version published here is the current one.
